Mantraup is an AI portrait creation service. Users upload photos, choose a portrait style, generate AI portraits, refine results, and download completed portraits.
We wrote this policy to be clear and practical. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, how service providers may help process it, and what choices you have.

Important Notice About Baby and Child Photos
Mantraup may allow users to create baby, newborn, child, family, or personal portraits. The account holder is responsible for making sure they have the legal right and permission to upload any photo they provide.
By uploading a photo, you confirm that:
- you own the photo or have permission to use it
- you are allowed to upload the photo to Mantraup
- if the photo includes a baby, child, or minor, you are the parent, legal guardian, or an authorized person with permission to use that photo
- the photo does not violate another person’s privacy, publicity rights, copyright, or legal rights
Mantraup is designed for use by adults. Children should not create accounts or submit personal information through Mantraup.

Uploaded photos and generated portraits may be stored in your account so you can:

- create another version
- view your portrait history

Mantraup does not promise automatic deletion on a short fixed timeline.
Mantraup does not sell uploaded photos.
Mantraup does not use uploaded photos or generated portraits to train public AI models.
Authorized service providers may process uploaded photos or generated portraits only as needed to provide the Mantraup service, operate infrastructure, process AI generation, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.

- create and manage user accounts
- allow users to sign in
- receive uploaded photos
- generate AI portraits
- edit or refine portraits
- save portraits to the user studio
- manage image credits and edit credits

When a user uploads a photo for portrait generation, the photo may be processed by an AI service provider to create the requested result.
Mantraup does not use AI processing for identity verification, facial recognition, or identifying a person by name.
AI systems may analyze visible facial features in a photo to generate the requested portrait, but Mantraup does not use uploaded photos to build a face-recognition database.
Payments
Payments are handled by third-party payment providers.
Mantraup does not store your full credit card number or full payment card details on its own servers.
Payment providers may collect and process information needed to complete a transaction, prevent fraud, issue receipts, handle disputes, and comply with tax or financial rules.
Mantraup may store limited purchase information such as:
- plan or credit pack purchased

Portrait Creation Consents
Before Mantraup creates a portrait, users must confirm photo rights, accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, and — when the selected style involves babies, children, or family subjects — confirm they are the parent, legal guardian, or authorized person for any child shown.
To demonstrate consent and defend legal claims, Mantraup stores an evidence record of each acceptance, which may include:
- the exact consent statements accepted
- Terms and Privacy Policy version dates
- date and time of acceptance
- linked account or guest session identifiers
- linked portrait/generation identifier
- IP address, browser user agent, language, and page URL
- a cryptographic hash of the evidence package
If an account is deleted, Mantraup may retain anonymized consent evidence (without the account email) for legal defense, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.
How We Share Information
Mantraup does not sell uploaded photos.
Mantraup may share information with:

By using Mantraup, you understand that your information may be processed by Mantraup and its service providers in different locations as needed to provide the service.
Data Retention
Mantraup keeps information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, support your portrait history, process purchases, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements.
Uploaded photos and generated portraits may remain available in your account unless:
- you delete them through Studio (permanent delete removes the upload, result, and edits from our servers with no content retention)
- you request deletion
- you delete your account in Account settings (permanent account delete removes your profile, portraits, uploads, edits, credits, and Mantraup billing history with no content retention)
- Mantraup removes content for legal, safety, abuse, or policy reasons
After account deletion, Mantraup does not keep your portraits, uploads, or account profile. Third-party payment processors may retain their own transaction records outside Mantraup when required by law or their policies. Backup copies and technical logs may remain for a short period as part of normal system operations before being overwritten.
User Requests and Deletion
You can delete individual portraits or your full account yourself while signed in:
- Portrait delete: use Delete permanently in Studio
- Account delete: open Account → Delete account, confirm your email, and type DELETE
Users may also contact Mantraup to request:
- access to personal information
- correction of inaccurate account information
- help deleting account data if self-serve delete is unavailable
- information about how their data is used
- withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent
- objection or restriction where applicable law provides those rights
Mantraup may need to verify the request before taking action.
Security
Mantraup uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect user information.
No website, storage system, AI provider, or internet transmission is risk-free. Mantraup cannot guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for keeping their login method, email account, and devices secure.
Children’s Privacy
Mantraup is not directed to children under 13, and children should not create accounts or submit personal information through the website.
Adults, parents, legal guardians, or authorized users may upload photos of babies or children only when they have the legal right and permission to do so.
If Mantraup learns that a child has created an account or submitted personal information without proper permission, Mantraup may delete the account or related information.
User Responsibilities
By using Mantraup, users agree that they are responsible for:
- uploading only photos they own or have permission to use
- getting any required consent from people shown in photos
- making sure child or baby photos are uploaded only by a parent, guardian, or authorized person
- not uploading illegal, harmful, private, or unauthorized content
- not using Mantraup to violate another person’s rights
- reviewing generated portraits before sharing them publicly
Mantraup is not responsible for user-uploaded content that the user had no right to upload.

Signed-in users can download a copy of their account data from Account → Download my data.
California residents may submit a “Do Not Sell or Share” request via the same form. Mantraup also honors Global Privacy Control (GPC / Sec-GPC) signals by denying non-essential cookies and skipping optional analytics. Mantraup does not sell uploaded photos.
Mantraup will respond as required by applicable law.
Marketing Communications
Mantraup may send service emails related to accounts, portraits, credits, purchases, support, security, or policy updates.
If Mantraup sends optional marketing emails, users can unsubscribe using the instructions in those emails or contact support.
Business Transfers
If Mantraup is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or transfer of business, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
The receiving party will be expected to handle information according to this Privacy Policy or provide notice if practices change.
